Hi Reader,
Yudi here,

Quick thing before we start today’s newsletter.

Crobo Money

A quick heads-up for anyone sending money from the US to India.

Crobo Money is sometimes offer more than Google rates, meaning you can get more rupees for the same dollars.

I’ve used Crobo for more than a year because of its simplicity:
$0 transfer fees, transparent exchange rates, and the same rate even for smaller transfers.

If you’re planning a transfer anyway, this is worth checking out.

Use code YUDIJ and get a $25 Amazon gift card after your first $500 transfer.

One of my Accelerator students was competing for:

1 Product Internship
1000 Applicants
30 Resume Shortlists
12 After Round 1
2 Finalists
1 Offer

He won.

Here’s what actually made the difference.

Execution depth.

1. Mock Interviews Like an Athlete

Most students prepare after they get an interview.

He prepared before.

Total mock interviews done: 100+
For that one company alone: 30+

Not random practice.

Structured.

He categorized:

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Why this company
  • Product design
  • Prioritization
  • Ambiguity handling
  • Behavioral depth

He kept spreadsheets of answers.

Refined wording.
Trimmed fluff.
Aligned to company values.

He knew his answers so well that when a vague question came:

“How would you design a product?”

He didn’t panic.

He structured.

Because frameworks were internalized.

Confidence is repetition.

Not personality.

Quick side note: I recently started a new Instagram where I’m sharing more insights about navigating corporate America and building long-term career in the U.S.

The goal is simple. Help immigrants win in corporate America. Get hired, get promoted, get paid more.

If that’s something you care about, you can follow along here.

2. Reading the Interviewer

This is advanced-level interviewing.

He noticed:

  • When interviewer leaned in
  • When they tried to interrupt
  • When they wanted shorter answers
  • When they wanted deeper thinking

That only comes from volume.

When you’ve done 5 interviews, you freeze.

When you’ve done 80, your nervous system stabilizes.

That’s the difference.

3. Non-Desperate Energy

Earlier interviews?
He had no offers.
Every tough question felt fatal.

Later interviews?
He had 2 backup offers.

Mindset shifted from:
“I need this.”

To:
“I’m evaluating this too.”

That psychological shift alone improves performance.

Which is why I tell my students:
Build backup pipelines early.

Even if product is your goal,
Apply to adjacent roles.

Confidence compounds.

4. Recruiter Leverage

When he got 2 offers, he didn’t hide them.

He informed recruiters strategically.

Result?

  • Faster interview scheduling
  • Higher priority handling
  • Clearer timelines

Recruiters close roles.
They need strong candidates.

If you position yourself correctly, you increase leverage.

5. The Real Myth: Brand Doesn’t Save You

He was from a top program.

Still:

  • 600+ applications
  • 20 interviews
  • 3 offers

Brand is an amplifier.
Not a shortcut.

Strategy > school.

Always.

What This Means For You

If you are:

  • Getting interviews but not converting
  • Getting resume rejects repeatedly
  • Feeling mentally drained

You do not need another YouTube tip.

You need:

  • Feedback loops
  • Structured mock interviews
  • Resume positioning by role
  • Networking intelligence
  • Application tracking

This is why the Accelerator exists.

Not for beginners.

For people who are serious and tired of guessing.

You are not competing casually anymore.

You are competing against:

  • Experienced candidates
  • Domestic students
  • AI-filtered systems
  • And 1000 other applicants

Act accordingly.

– Yudi

P.S. The difference between 0 offers and 1 offer is rarely talent. It’s system design and execution consistency.
